We are down to the last FULL week of school! What a busy week it will be! We start off with the end of EOG Testing.
Then on Thursday, we get to kick back and relax at the end-of-year picnic. On Friday, the week ends with a BANG (or maybe I should say SPLASH) with our AWESOME Field Day.
Is your child missing a windbreaker, water bottle, lunch box, or other item? PLEASE check the Lost and Found rack in the front hall of the school. We have LOTS of abandoned items that need to be returned to their rightful owners. Any unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the school year. So check this week!
I hope everyone has a great week!

Friday: Field Day
I can't wait to see all the fun activities that Ms. Graves has planned for Field Day. Thank you to all the folks who signed up to volunteer. If you didn't sign up to volunteer and still want to help, we can put you to work! Just know that you might get wet.
Field Day is on the field behind the school. When you arrive:
- Go straight to the field and check in at the Volunteer booth (even if you aren't volunteering, you need to sign in and get a Visitor badge). You do not need to check in at the office first.
- If you are volunteering, please arrive 30 minutes before your shift starts to receive instructions.
- K-2 is from 10-12. Volunteers, arrive at 9:30.
- 3-5 is from 12:30-2:30. Volunteers, arrive at 12:00.
There are several water activities! Plan to get wet and maybe muddy.
Parents, your children will get wet and dirty. Please send them in old clothes. Provide a change of clothes and a towel for afterwards.
Students will receive a water bottle that they can refill while on the field and each student will receive a popsicle. You do not need to provide these items for your child or your child's class.

Box Tops Are Going Digital
Changes are coming to the Box Tops program! They are phasing out the Box Tops on the packages and instead going digital. A flyer will come home in Tuesday folders with more information.
Don't stop collecting any Box Tops that you see though! We can still turn them in for cash as long as you still find them! I will also be sending home a sheet where you can collect those Box Tops over the summer.

Advocacy Update: Wake County Commissioners Vote on the County Budget on Monday
The Wake County PTA fully supports the WCPSS budget submitted by Superintendent Moore. Tomorrow at 5pm, the Wake County commissioners will meet to discuss the county budget and this includes funding for the WCPSS budget. Currently, the county's proposed budget falls short of fully funding the budget proposed by Superintendent Moore (by $11M).
You can share your thoughts with all 7 county commissioners at [email protected]. Be sure to send your email before 5pm tomorrow!
