The big day is here! The first day of school for 2019-20 is Monday. It was great to see everyone at Meet the Teacher on Thursday! We hope everyone is excited to start a great new year! This year's theme is We Shine #BrighterTogether.
Are you interested in getting involved this year? We'd love to see everyone at the school during the year. Complete this PTA Interest form or contact PTA President, Tara Batemon at [email protected]. She'd love to talk with you.
Have a wonderful week!

First Day of School is Monday
The carpool line opens at 8:45. Students must be in their seats by the 9:15 bell.
If you are carpooling this week, please allow yourself extra time. As you know the first week of school is a little extra busy.
Bus riders, please be at your stops 10-15 minutes before the time listed in PowerSchool. As you know, bus schedules can vary on the first day of school as schedules are being worked out. You don't want to miss the bus. You can also use the Here Comes the Bus App to track your bus. See

Staggered Entry for Kindergartners; Meet the Teacher is Friday
Remember, if you have an incoming kindergartner, he or she will attend school only one day this week. Over the summer, you should have received a letter notifying you of our child's staggered entry day.
If you are walking your child in, you must sign in at the front office before heading to the kindergarten building.
On Friday afternoon, you can return to the school to learn your teacher assignment and meet your teacher for this exciting year!
Dads, be a Watch DOG! We Want YOU at School!
Dads, uncles, grandparents, brothers . . . we want YOU at the Creek! Join us Tuesday, Sept 24 at 6:30 to learn about the Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) program and sign up for a day to be at the Creek! Your child will be so excited to have you at school for the day!
If you have questions, contact our head dog, Sam Allen, at [email protected].
We Want Your Pictures for the Yearbook!
The first day of school is a BIG picture day. We'd love to have your pictures for the yearbook.
You can submit pictures throughout the year! The more, the merrier.

Remember to Apply for Meal Benefits
WCPSS Child Nutrition Services wants you to know that you can apply online to qualify for free and reduced price school meals.
Go online to www.wcpss.net/meals to determine if you qualify and to complete the online application. To help you, we’ve shared application information, frequently asked questions and the online application.
Families may also visit their school where paper applications will be available.
We encourage parents to choose healthy and delicious school meals for their child.
Thanks for your support of the Wake County Public School System.
Side note: It is our free and reduced numbers that determine whether a school qualifies for Title 1 status the next school year. So signing up benefits not only your child but our school as well.
