Even though we can't be there in person to welcome back our awesome Swifty staff, we can still send our love. Thanks to all the artists who came out yesterday to decorate the school grounds so the staff would be surprised when they return this morning! We have quite some incredible artists at the Creek! The Moment You've Been Waiting For!
One of the most exciting moments at the beginning of the school year is that moment when a child sees for the first time who their teacher will be. Well, after a long wait, that moment has arrived! By Wednesday at noon, the class lists will be posted on the front doors of the school. The lists will also indicate if your child is in virtual academy. (Our VA families also received an email letter confirmation last week.) Please note, the list will indicate homeroom teacher, yet almost every student will have more than one teacher providing instruction this year. During the orientatin weeks, you will get a chance to meet all of the teachers your child will be working with this year. If you are coming to check the lists on the doors, please observe social distancing. Orange lines on the bridge indicate six feet distance. If you can't make it to the school to check out the class lists, no worries. Your child's teacher will be making contact with you through the email address provided in PowerSchool this week. They will be sharing information with you about the first days of school and what to expect. Keep in mind that this is a more relaxed school opening than in the past, since many students will not have either instructional supplies not laptops at first. During the first week of school, your teacher will be setting up a one on one brief virtual meeting to get to know your family. By the third week, we will be in full swing with our daily schedules. If you have requested technology, you should be receiving pickup information from the district. Everyone will also need to plan to come to the school next week to pick up instructional supplies - books, manipulatives, workbooks, and math sheets. This is for all students. The pick up times will be Tuesday-Thursday from 9-11AM & 1-3PM. Saturday hours will be 9AM-12PM. All instructional materials for a grade level will be together in a bag. Safety and health protocols will be in place. The materials will be picked up from the gym. I have enjoyed talking with many of you personally during my office hours. The last one will be tomorrow from 11:30-12:30 at this Google meeting link: https://meet.google.com/sir-nvjj-swi. But please email me any time with questions you may have. Our staff members are looking forward to making this a wonderful experience for all of our Swift Creek families and Cougars! Yours, Darrell Propst, Principal Reminder: Class lists will be posted on the school doors after 12 today.

If you can't make it to the school, I will be there this afternoon so you can contact Marie Dexter at [email protected] if you want class information. Hello everyone!
It is so hard to believe that we start school in one week! I'd say the summer flew by but sometimes it flew and sometimes it dragged. Tomorrow (Monday) night you are welcome to join us for our first PTA meeting of the year. In this meeting, we will share our expectations for the fall; however, our main concern is making sure that your family feels supported and that you have what you need to start the year off strong! We will have lots of updates this week as we get closer to the beginning of the year. Be sure to watch our FaceBook page and the PTA website for updates! Have a great week! We hope to see you tomorrow. Your PTA Executive Board Marie, Deb, Sarah, Dana, and Lauren Reminder: Mr. Propst Has Daily Office Hours! Do you have questions for Mr. Propst? He is continuing to hold virtual office hours from 11:30 - 12:30 daily. If you want to connect, then please use this Google Meet link https://meet.google.com/sir-nvjj-swi?hs=122&authuser=0. Each day I will join the meet at 11:30 and hang out for a few minutes. If no one shows up after about 15, I'll close the meeting for that day. If you're not able to join until later in the hour, just send an email and let me know when. If you're emailing me, remember that it's [email protected].
