Join us Tuesday January 9th from 4:00-6:00 PM for an old fashioned TWITTER STORM! Our elected representatives need to know how seriously we take the impending fiasco caused by unfunded K-3 class size restrictions. School districts need quaranteed funding and more time!
Local school districts want the NCGA to restore the original HB13 bill to allow more local flexibility in K-3 class sizes. Further, our school districts deserve to have the enhancement teachers (“specials”) FULLY funded in January to allow time for budgeting. We are also adding the NCGA to allow a hardship waiver for school districts who can justify the need for more time to find qualified teachers and additional classroom space. Lastly, join us is asking our legislators to RESTORE CAPS to Grades 4 and 5 that they removed in 2013!
