Cougar Fun Run: OCtober 19, 2017 -- RUNNING THROUGH THE DECADES
The Cougar Fun Run is our primary fundraising event for the year. The money that we raise basically covers all of the PTA's costs for the year.
Students are sent home with pledge sheets. Flat donations are requested.
On the day of the event, each student runs around the track for 20 minutes. As each lap is completed, the student receives a rubber band, and at the end, the rubber bands are tallied. The class in each grade with the most laps wins a prize.
If you have additional questions, please contact email@example.com.
Every week that a student brings in a donation he or she can get a prize from the Fun Run wagon, which is available at the school on Fridays. In addition, students who achieve fundraising goals are eligible for experience prizes, such as homework passes or lunch with a teacher. If the school meets its goal, students will be entered in a drawing to throw a water balloon at Mr. Propst!
Where Does the Money Go?
The Day's Schedule
Volunteers are crucial to the success of the Fun Run. Here are some ways that you can help:
Assist on the day of the event. Volunteers are needed to help with setup and takedown; volunteers are needed for each classroom to help count laps; volunteers are needed to help distribute water and snacks to the grade level after their run; and finally to help with totaling the number of laps for each classroom.
Help count the incoming money in the days before and after the event
