REFLECTIONS ART PROGRAM: Submissions Due Oct 26, 2015
The Reflections Art Program encourages creativity and lifelong learning while offering recognition for artistic endeavors. The theme for the 2015-2016 program is "Let Your Imagination Fly . . .".
3rd - 5th graders are welcome to submit entries as photographs, pictures, stories, or poems. Entry forms and handouts will be sent home soon.
How to Enter:
There must be a separate entry form for each entry even if the entry is by the same student. Please make sure the entry form is completely filled out. In the past, artwork for some students has not been judged because the entry form was incomplete.
DEADLINE for submissions is Tuesday, October 27! You can turn in your submission to the office or to your teacher.
Students are judged on these elements:
* how closely the piece of art relates to the theme based upon the artwork itself and the artist statement
* how original and creative the entry is in its conception of theme and its presentation
* the level of skill demonstrated in the basic principles/techniques of the art.
For examples of entries, see the list of last year's North Carolina Reflections program winners.
