School is closed on Friday, February 27 because of the inclement weather. THINK SPRING!
Snow day take 7.
Due to the chance of winter weather, Wake County has cancelled school for Thursday, Feb 26. I hope everyone stays warm.
School is back in session! Let's hope all that winter weather is behind us.
Here are some things that are happening this week at Swift Creek:
* Monday, Feb 23 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will have a special presentation from author Shannon Hale (author of The Princess Academy). Thanks to Mrs. Ramsey for organizing this special program for our kids.
* Interested in signing your child up for tennis or golf lessons? Here's your chance!!!
For the first time ever, TGA is offering golf and tennis lessons at Swift Creek! What a great way to help your kids get moving and to introduce them to a new sport. Classes are from 4-5pm and will be held at the park behind the school. Classes start the first week of March, so SIGN UP TODAY. All equipment will be provided. If more people don't sign up, we will lose this wonderful opportunity.

Here is more general information about the program:
* Mrs. Ramsey is collecting new and gently used books for the Wake Up and Read Program now through March 2. This is a great opportunity to make some space on your bookshelves before the Book Fair next week (March 2-6).
Day 4 of the unforgettable snow of 2015. Hopefully, this will be the end of old man winter.
Think spring thoughts and stay warm!!!!
