Happy birthday to the energetic, Ms. Wyrsch. We are so grateful for all your leadership on the 3rd grade team! Have a spectacular day!
Just a quick reminder . . .
On Wednesday, April 5th from 6-8pm, we are having a presentation about keeping your kids safe on the internet. This includes when using phones, computers, game systems, and other devices that connect to the internet. We highly encourage you to attend, especially if you are the parent of a 3rd-5th grader. If you need to bring your child along, childcare will be provided in the cafeteria. The presentation will be held in the media center. Bring your questions with you!
Tomorrow evening, join us for Math Night and Book Fair night at Swift Creek Elementary School. The event lasts from 5:30-7:00.
* In your child's classroom, learn some new math skills with one of the Math Night sessions. There will be three sessions in each grade level and each session lasts 20 minutes. Sessions start at 5:30.
* Before or after you attend a math session, remember to shop the Book Fair which is in the media center. All proceeds from the book fair go to our Swift Creek library!
* In the front hall, you can order your child's yearbook, sponsor a page in the yearbook, or place a business ad in the yearbook. Spirit Wear will also be available. Short sleeve t-shirts will be discounted to $5.
Also, you can enter a raffle for a 40" LED flat screen TV. As you know, the PTA didn't meet its fundraising goal with the Fun Run this fall. Storage King USA on Tryon Road donated this TV for us to raffle off to help meet our budget for this year. Raffle entries cost $1 and you can enter as many times as you want. The drawing will be held at 6:55pm.
