Partner with Swift Creek to help collect books for this county-wide effort to provide grade-level reading materials to students in need in Wake County.
Bring your new and gently used books to the Swift Creek library by Tuesday, March 8.
We did an amazing job on the food drive. We can do it again! This is a great place for all those books your kids have outgrown!!!
If you have questions, contact Mrs. Ramsey at email@example.com.
For more information about this program and volunteer opportunities (for kids too!), see http://wakeupandread.org/.
March is here! No matter what the weather, Mrs. Ramsey reminds us that going to the library can be a family affair. Check out the March offerings from Eva Perry Library and Happy Reading!
Wow! What an amazing job everyone did on the Food Drive. We brought in over 4400 items for Urban Ministeries. That is amazing!
5th grade ended up winning the extra 30 minutes of recess. They pulled it out and barely beat the 4th graders. Maybe next year for 4th grade.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this effort. And thanks to Mrs. Chadwick and the Swift Creek Service Club for organizing this event! It is amazing what we can do when we work together.
Happy Friday everyone!
As I was walking down the school halls yesterday, I noticed some beautiful art work that I thought I'd share.
The amazing poppy was done by Ms. Wyrsch's class. Each student had a piece of the poppy. Then the pieces were put together to replicate a famous Georgia O'Keeffe picture. (I must confess. She is one of my favorite artists.)
... More still lifes can be found right outside the art room. I love the work Ms. Cannon does with our students.
Hope you enjoy these as well. And have a great weekend!
