5th grade families!
Graduation is Thursday (Can you believe it?)
After the ceremony, join us for High Fives and Good Vibes on the field. We will have music, games, snacks, and of course CAKE!
Here's what you can bring:
1. Bring a picture of your 5th grader to hang on our High Fives fence as you walk down the ramp to the field.
2. Bring a blanket and/or chairs for seating if possible.
3. Bring a change of clothes for yourselves if you wish to participate in the games/activities on the field.
4. Be sure to have those cameras ready for photo op/selfie station.
It will be a ROARing good time! See you there!
This morning, we had a special visitor at the Creek! Mrs. ShaRhonda Smith, our new assistant principal, stopped by to meet the staff and our students.
She's already made a great impact at the school with her kind heart and warm smile. She is coming to us from Wendell Middle School, but she has lots of elementary school experience. In fact, she taught 3rd and 4th grade and she has a rising 2nd grade.
Talking to her, you can see she is ready and eager to partner with parents and our community for the next school year. (Her official start date is August 1.)
Welcome to the Creek, Mrs. Smith! We look forward to working with you!
This is it! Another school year comes to a close this week. I hope this has been a great year for your family. I am completely blown away at how many things we got done this year at Swift Creek. Thank you so much to EVERYONE for volunteering your time, energy, and money to make this year spectacular. We did this together!
We desperately need 2 clean 2 Liter bottles for Field Day on Friday. If you have any, please label them Field Day and send them to the front office.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful summer. Follow us on Facebook for updates on the school garden and plans for next year: https://www.facebook.com/swiftcreekespta/

Parents, you are welcome to attend the Talent Show at 2:00pm on Thursday in the gym. The entire school will watch our 5th graders perform, so arrive early for a seat.
Tuesday: Yearbooks Distributed and Final Newsletter
If you ordered a yearbook, those will be distributed to students on Tuesday. You can purchase a yearbook for $12 in the front office. If you ordered a yearbook and did not receive one, please contact Marie Dexter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, the final newsletter of the year will be sent home in Tuesday folders. Be sure to check out the amazing list of accomplishments this year: http://swiftcreekeswcpssnetptahtml.weebly.com/uploads/2/4/2/2/24227387/june52018_english.pdf
Mrs. Smith Is Coming to Visit
Our new assistant principal, Mrs. Smith, will be at the school Tuesday morning for a visit. Her first official day at the Creek is August 1. Stop by and say Hello!
Thursday: 5th Grade Graduation and Talent Show
Thursday is a busy day with 5th grade graduation at 9:30 and then High Fives and Good Vibes on the field immediately after the ceremony.
Friday: Field Day!
Ms Graves has lots of fun (and several WET) activities planned for Field Day on Friday. You might want to send your child with a change of clothes and a towel.
Parents, popsicles and water will be provided for each class, so you don't need to provide that for your class.
We will have two sessions (one in the morning for the younger grades and one in the afternoon for the older grades). We have about 12-11 stations for each session so we need LOTS of help. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e094eafae2ca64-field
