This week's newsletter is FULL of pictures from last week. So many great memories, especially with our AWESOME Field Day! If you cannot see all the pictures in your email, please check out the PTA website.
This week will be a little more reserved as our 3-5 graders take their EOG tests. Other grade levels will also be doing their final performance tests of the year. We know all of our Swifties have worked hard throughout the year. We are so proud of all they have accomplished.
Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend! Come back well rested and ready to finish the year strong!

Wed, June 7: 5th Grade Awards Ceremony
Parking
Everyone should be aware that carpool will be extra busy that morning, since the ceremony starts at 9:30am. Families can park in front of the school and at the park. Please DO NOT park at the Swift Creek community center. You can also park at the Food Lion shopping center and walk over to the school.
Bring Your Own Chair
The ceremony will be in the park behind the school. 5th graders will have seats on the basketball court. We ask that you bring your own chair and sit in the grass in the field. You might also want to bring a water bottle with you, depending on the heat. The ceremony lasts about an hour.
After the Ceremony
After the event, don't leave right away. We'd like to get one last class picture.
Also, we will have refreshments (cupcakes or cake and water) for the students.
Want to Contribute to the Event?
Want to give a shout out to your 5th grader or maybe all the 5th graders? We are looking for posters and signs to hang along the fence on the tennis courts. Everyone is welcome to contribute. Please turn your posters in to the office by Tuesday, June 6.
Also if you have any baby pictures of your 5th grader, I'd love those too. Send them to Marie Dexter at [email protected].
Friday, June 9 3:00 Senior Clap-Out
If you can attend, contact Marie Dexter at [email protected].
We will meet at the front of the school at 3:00pm on Thursday, June 8. The walkabout will begin promptly at 3:15.
Friday, June 9: Deadline to Order Your School Supply Kitz
Summer Playdates
We Need Garden Gnomes This Summer!
Watering sign up: https://tinyurl.com/scesWater23
When you sign up for a week, you will pick a day that week to come water. You will water the 3 raised garden beds beside the Kindergarten building, and the two potted flowers in this area.
**The hose is located by the kindergarten building (the door facing the garden). The hose will reach all 3 garden boxes or you can use the watering cans.**
If anything is ripe and ready for harvest please feel free to take it! Anything that is ready is for you to use. Thank you!
Thanks so much for your help and support to keep our plants GROWING STRONG over the summer so we can take pride in our gardens when we return to campus in August.
Questions? Something not where it is supposed to be? Contact Mr. Lewis through Sign Up Genius or [email protected], or Jenae [email protected].

WE Love our WAtch Dogs
Watch DOGS is a program that encourages Dads, uncles, grandfathers, brothers, cousins to be involved in their child's school. Throughout the day, you will visit and help in the classroom at each grade level. Half day options are also available.
If you have questions or like to sign up for a day to join us at the Creek, please email our Top DOG, Tim Sutton, at [email protected].
Our Pollinator Garden is Growing!
In preparation for moving to the temporary space, some of these plants have been divided and shared with Dillard Drive Elementary. They are using the plants to start their own pollinator garden. When we return to the new building, Dillard will split their plants and share those divisions with us so we can re-create our garden!
