SCES Week of March 1 -- Read Across America Week; School Social Worker Week, and so much More!3/1/2020
Hello everyone!
Happy March! I love how today is starting with sunshine. March is one of my favorite months. Spring is almost officially here and North Carolina goes a little crazy with March Madness. There are also lots of exciting opportunities at the Creek this month! Hope you can join us for all the fun! Have a great week! Marie The Positivity Project (P2): Cheering Others' Success This week students will be learning about another aspect of the Other People Matter mindset. This element of the Other People Matter Mindset means that when other people succeed, you are happy for them and cheer them on. Making a commitment towards cheering on other people's success can be a great way to improve our own healthy, happiness, and relationships. On an individual level, being supportive of people who succeed is good for our mental, physical, and emotion well-being. On a group level, when people cheer each other on it begins a reciprocal process that forges stronger relationships. And those relationship are the foundation for a strong culture in teams, schools, and businesses. Read Across America Week! To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, we are participating in Read Across America Week. Each day will have a different fun theme.
