Good afternoon. You never really know if schoolwide theme, hashtags, and sayings are more than words until events challenge us. The challenges of the past couple of weeks confirm that Swift Creek ES really is a community that comes together in times of need for the good of the whole.
Last Friday you received lots of messages from us regarding transportation. I am so proud of the way that students, staff, and families responded so quickly. As I went from vehicle to vehicle asking if parents would like to pick up their child early or wait in line, the question I was asked over and over was "What's best for the school?" Amazing! In that moment, everyone was considering others before their own needs. Thank you so much. As you know, we are facing the same scenario today, but I'm sure we will all work together for a smooth dismissal.
Recently, I mentioned to you the shortage of eating utensils. Many asked if they could purchase and donate to the school. While I had hoped for a swift remedy to the shortage, that may not be so. Therefore, if you would like to help out, we are accepting donations of boxes of forks or spoons. Thank you so much for your support.
Have a great week!
