Spring is finally here and it is only one week until Spring Break! I know everyone is getting Spring Fever. To help our students focus these last few weeks, the PBIS committee has initiated a school wide event called Pop & Play. Students have been earning ROAR coupons to attend this event which includes extra recess and a popsicle. Students must receive 18 coupons to attend the event (which is either Thursday or Friday depending on your child's grade level). Ask your child how many coupons he or she has earned. Thanks for your support as we push through to the break!
Also, this week is very special in that it is Principal and Assistant Principal appreciation week. Please thank our principals for all they do at the Creek!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week! We can make it to Spring Break! :-)

Positivity Project: Being Present and Giving Others Your Attention
This week in the Positivity Project, students are learning about another aspect of the Other People Matter mindset.
This element of the Other People Matter Mindset (OPM2) means that when I’m with other people, I’m present and give them my full attention.
A deliberate focus on being present is so important today due to the increasing number of distractions vying for our time and attention.
This Week: Principal and Assistant Principal Appreciation Week
Mr. Propst and Mrs. Smith spend countless hours doing so many things for our community. Please take a few minutes this week to thank them for all they do.
I'm sure they would love personal messages from our children. Suggestions for these notes include:
- a written thank you
- a drawing
- a drawing or explanation of what your child thinks a principal does all day!

On the Horizon -- Changes to the Box Tops Program
Do you collect Box Tops for our school? Then you will want to know about upcoming changes to the Box Tops program.
Starting in June, Box Tops are going DIGITAL! Yep, you read that correctly. No more clipping Box Tops and send them to school. Instead, all you need to do it take a picture of your receipt with the Box Top app. A new logo will start appearing on Box Top products saying something like No clip, scan your receipt. Right now, they are appearing on boxes of Blueberry Cheerios.
More information will be coming home when the new Box Top app is released. In the meantime, any Box Tops you collect are still good so turn them in to your teacher ASAP.
If you have questions about these changes, please let me know.
And of course, we still collect Coke Bottle Tops as well!!!!
A little humor for your family this week: When do monkeys fall from the sky? During Ape-ril showers!
