To celebrate the wonderful work of our students, Friday will be the Winter Glow Dance! More details on this event are below.
On Tuesday, we will have our December PTA meeting. You can attend in person or virtually. Come learn about the amazing week students had with writer in residence Michael Beadle. The poetry that students wrote is so very impressive. Mr. Beadle was blown away by their work.
We would love to see you at our meeting. PTA meetings are a great way for you to learn what is happening at the school and for you to learn about volunteer opportunities. If you can't join us this month, we hope you resolve to join us in January. The strength of our community is what makes Swift Creek so special. We need you to keep our community strong especially as we transition to the new temporary space next school year. The time to get involved is now.
If you are interested but aren't sure where to start, please contact any board member. We are anxious to talk to you!
Have a joyful week!

During this special event, students will gather in the media center, which will be completely blacked out and decorated with black lights. Each student will receive a glow bracelet, so they will glow in the dark. Wearing white or neon colors that glow under the black lights is also encouraged.
During the 30 minute event, students can dance, decorate our graffiti wall with highlighters, and make holiday cards for loved one. It is always a blast! See pictures from the 2019 event at http://swiftcreekeswcpssnetptahtml.weebly.com/winter-glow.html.
Below are the times for each grade level and an explanation of the event from Mrs. Chadwick, our school counselor.
