This week at the Creek:
The Positivity Project: Gratitude
Over the next two weeks, the students will be learning about the character strength of Gratitude. In our hectic world, gratitude is even more important than ever. It isn't whether your glass is half empty or half full. It's appreciating that you have water at all.

Tuesday: PTA meeting and Title I presentation 6:30pm in cafeteria
Join us for our monthly PTA meeting! We will be taking suggestions for how to spend the surplus we raised during the Fun Run. We also need your vote to purchase two xylophones for the music room! This purchase is sorely needed and will benefit ALL students at the Creek.
Did you know Swift Creek is a Title I school? Do you know what that means? Come find out!
Thursday: Family Night at the Book Fair and STEM night
Dress in your western gear and join us for science adventures on Thursday night from 5:30pm-8:00pm.
We have 10 different STEM activities to choose from. Students will be exploring the chemistry of slime, the mystery of sound, the magic of mathematics, and more.
Complete a STEM password and earn a prize. You'll also be entered into a drawing for a Rollercoaster Challenge game!
Friday: Letterland Parade
On Friday, the kindergartners will be celebrating the completion of their Letterland unit with a parade throughout the school. The parade will start around 3:00. All the older students will line the hallways and cheer our littlest Swifties as they parade through the school in their Letterland costume. This event always warms my heart. I love how the older kids support the younger ones, and of course, the kindergartners are just adorable in their costumes!
4th Graders: Writer in Residence This Week
All week, 4th graders will be studying with writer-in-residence, Michael Beadle. This has become a Swift Creek tradition. We love having Mr. Beadle at the school! This cultural arts event is brought to you by the United Arts Council and your Fun Run donations!!!
An Easy Way to Purchase Healthy Snacks
The Healthier Generation Store with Amazon Business is a great place to buy healthy foods and snacks!!! And if you shop with your Amazon Smile account, you'll be supporting Swift Creek at the same time! It's a win-win.
